Joey Rogers was a young man who struggled with a rare illness and wanted to create a place where sick children and their parents could share his enjoyment of butterflies. Through the determined efforts of Joey’s mother, Dolly Rogers, the Cool Beans Butterfly Garden was opened earlier this month. Joey wanted to create joy for those who were struggling to find it. Dolly improvised on a few of her son’s “bucket list” items, but the garden wasn’t one of them. A call to Gino Panaro of DIY turned the garden project into reality. The Cool Beans Butterfly Garden is located next to St. Children’s Health Institute in New Brunswick.
