Randy Pausch was a Carnegie Mellon professor who delivered an inspirational last lecture called “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams.” During the lecture, Randy told his audience about the pancreatic cancer that would soon take his life. The lecture wasn’t about dying but rather about how to live your life. Randy also wrote a book based upon this same lecture.
In the book, Randy introduces some thought-provoking topics:
• When there is an elephant in the room, introduce it.
• Are you a Tigger or an Eeyore?
• Send out Thin Mints as a communication tool.
• Brick walls are there for a reason.
Randy spent his precious last months working on the lecture in order to pass his legacy on to his young children. By sharing his message with millions of people, he provides moments of tears, laughter, and lessons on how to live life and achieve your dreams.
