| February 08, 2010 | | When 24 inches of snow blanketed Western Pennsylvania on Friday, no one suspected that a power outage at the church would cause the family to postpone the funeral. Loved ones traveled from the Carolinas, Florida and Texas to pay their respects to the deceased at a funeral scheduled for Saturday morning. At the woman's request, her body was cremated and no visitation was held. The funeral was the family's only opportunity to say "good-bye." When the airport re-opened, the out-of-town mourners returned to their homes. The funeral is scheduled for this Saturday, but the loved ones from afar will not be attending. cmsmidatlantic: "We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today."... cmsmidatlantic: On this date in 1973, J.R.R.
