If you are among the growing number of Americans selecting cremation as an
alternative to ground burial, it's important to note that you can pre-plan you
service and memorialization just as you can for ground burial or mausoleum
entombment.
Cremation is merely an act of preparing the body for final disposition.
It's a step in the process that is only complete when the individual is
memorialized. There are more options for cremation memorialization
than the other two types of disposition combined. Choices include:
Urns that can be taken home or placed in a cemetery niche
Niches with glass fronts
Columbaria
In-ground memorials with canisters for placement of the cremated remains
